Our new book club book is perfectly portioned for my kind of reading... EAT CAKE by Jeanne Ray. Totally a summer slice of nothing special... no tears or dead intense scenarios (unless you count the awkward moment of nearly helping her incapacitated dad to pee...) just a cupcake of a story. Cake (look away now as I am going to spoil the storyline) is basically the "cure all" for everyday malady. Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with the eating of cake, I am aghast that the baking of it is therapy beyond consumption...xxxx
