CHA Winter 09 - Sneak Peaks (Glitz)

Spotted: Not that they made a huge splash in '08, but the glam and glitz gals are back with more to tempt and tickle yer fancy.... Some stores that I know support them include A Card 4 U (and the lovely Julie!!) Also spotted 10p Doodlebug Bazzill as a great Monday Madness deal online...
Anyone else seeing A WHOLE LOTTA PINK...!

Sneak Peaks for Jan 09... GLITZ

Spotted: Glitz release sneaks of their new ranges for Jan 09 (and there are LOADS... maybe too many to choose from!!) I like the strong teen male line - not that I have teenagers {yet} but I do have growing boys who need their own colour palette. Not every paper needs to be pink!
N.B. I think the industry needs to SLOW down with all the paper - and concentrate on a select few GREAT designs... rather than throwing too much at consumers who will still only select one or two to buy.

Spotted: Integral BLING... and those public moments of woe

I wanted to speak up on the whole *air kissing* etiquette...

It is a minefield. This came up yesterday when I bumped into someone at a meeting and could see that our greeting was going to cause palpitations. I am somewhat clumsy with my head, and cringe when someone goes to genteelly kiss me on the cheek....
My palms sweat, my pulse quickens and I fumble forward (usually at 57 mph and either bang heads, brush an ear or whack a cheekbone...) You would think my public humiliation was over - but apparently round two on the 'tuther side causes an awkward pause, then lunge.

I am an inherent hugger... as I feel more comfortable (and less chance of head injury) in this format. Whilst some folks HATE hugging - I am an all body embracer.

Anyways, I had a very public air kiss moment... and I apologise to all concerned that I am inept at this kind of greeting. I was raised in the norf... where you either hugged or spat at. I think the souf has tried to have its wicked way with me... but I am still an imperfect work of art. At least I can console myself with the fact that JUDE LAW gets it wrong too... (although who would blame me for wantonly abandoning all decorum if he ever went for an air kiss?!!)

BACK ON TOPIC...

I know Glitz Designs have sneaked some of their CHA Summer bling - which is part of a sticker (integral to the design... and no fussing...) well I also spotted this via Imaginisce (which has to be one of the HARDEST things to figure out to pronounce - I can barely type it correctly ;)

These STUDDED STICKERS are sublime, and have the bling blaring... but without all the faffing and fiddling. I know this means you are stuck with the final design... but luckily these brands are pretty nifty on the design front and have not come up with anything overtly naff.

I am going to play - as I still think jewels are going to be a girl's best friend into 2009...

Spotted: (more) CHA Summer sneaks

Spotted: Glitz Design have a full range out there on the web - showing you just how organised they are to be ready to show off their wares in public ;) See... that purple?!!! Everyone who is anyone will be sporting it...
Also - they have these *Glitzers* - and basically "Glitzers are transparent stickers with bold colors and BLING! That's right...BLING!...the bling is inside the sticker...so there is NO WAY you'll lose it! " Ooooo - bling and stickers. First thickers, and now glitzers... if I recall Lil Davis launched a whole range of bling before it's time (and before the sell out to Fiskars) which would have rivalled all the *new* fan dangled inventions. Have to hand it to Trish, she had an eye for spotting a trend and paying homage before it hit the big time...

Spotted: Tinkering Ink's follow up to their original YULETIDE range... surprisingly named Yuletide 2 (and is designed to coordinate beautifully!!) I like that idea... that product you have in your stash drawer is refreshed with new product... seems a lot like common sense to me!

Spotted: Piggy Tales show off their new Drawbridge Book... aiming to be in stores at the end of July. Another take on a flap type book... if you are a mini-book addict, this is one for you.
