Issue 3 of Creativity Life is underway - and the Readers Gallery is all about WEATHER & OUTDOORS. So please please email me your layouts (a pic of them is fine) and we will be selecting from our emails the layouts we would love to print!
With every layout which is printed, you receive a free copy of the magazine!!

I *need* your photos!

We are hot on the heels of issue 1, working on the covershot for Creativity Life numero duo. (I am seriously jumping up and down with glee since bezzy mate Holly McCaig said issue 1 was wicked... How mind blowingly *hip* would it be to get her in the mag?!!) SORRY - I digress...! Still a little "star struck" ;)

Anyways, I NEED you to submit your best Christmas shots, as I am currently searching for my front cover gal (or boy, family, dog, cat... or Christmas tree ;) Send your high res photos to me HERE and the winning shot will be credited, and the featured finished cover layout sent to you (all the hard work is done by us, and you can sit back and relish at least one great layout without labour!)

DEADLINE: September 1st... so get submitting!

Small Print:
We will contact the winning photographer via email and include it on our cover for issue 2.
By submitting your photo, you are allowing us to use it in print and promotional activity, and your photo must be your own artwork.
The winner will receive a complete layout and a free issue of their featured cover shot.

Well - it's is your lucky day ;) EMAIL ME with your name, contact details and the magazine(s) you have commissioned work with, and I will organise a hefty bumper pack of the *new* Core'dinations cardstock, as well as some other cool new bits for you to use...

The 5 adhesive testers (for 3L) will be announced later this week (...once I wade through my emails and find the front of my washing machine.) Yesterday did make me thank my lucky stars that I was not Noah... can you imagine that rain for 40 days?! 24 hours of horizontal hammering was enough for me to throw all the wii {limitation} rules out the window and allow a mammoth marathon... I am officially the TRAMPOLINE CHAMP... 9.512 ;) ALTHOUGH I am paying for it today with real arm ache...

I winced at 'Britains Got Talent' (?!) and ended up discovering Heath Ledger in the Four Feathers. Such a shame he died...LOVED him in A Knight's Tale... one of my top ten films.

Anyways - some pleasant pics from the last Lingfield show - and fingers all crossed for the gang tomorrow in Edinburgh!!

I am an avid follower of thepioneerwoman.com - as this gal is worth stalking! She is mad on photography, and has some FREE photoshop actions for you to download HERE. They basically wave a magic wand and wa-la you are instantly a photographic genius!

You can even ditch your own camera and just download her great photos to print for FREE (check them out HERE!)

I also am at that point of signing off issue one of Creativity Life (and website is almost ready to launch too!!) We have this AMAZING competition. I need 12 candidates... and the shout out will be online and in the mag (just finishing off my stern looking logo to make it all 'official'...) Want to be paid to design? Reader Page CALL

I *need* some scrummy PINK (preferably Doodlebug) layouts for printing in our issue one reader's gallery... I know none of you have actually READ the thing yet - but if you want your name in lights (or at least a lovely font printed in a mag read by over 200,000 crafters...) then please email me jpgs of your lush Doodlebug PINK layouts...

They *must* be unpublished and original - as well as not available online (via blogs or forums.) So email me... like *soon*!!!

Cropadile Review...!

This is a BIG shout out for anyone NOT related in any shape or form to DO CRAFTS... to rate the cropadile and get published! I am looking for 5 reviewers who already have this handy tool to tell me what they *really* think... get published, and get a free copy of issue 1 :)

A little Saturday Inspiration...

More lush layouts - the pink is def my fav... it is *pow* on the senses! It will be such a tough decision - but 2 additional DT members will be selected from the layouts submitted (and featured over the last few weeks!!) Keep em coming ;)

Been playing on the net. Love the sneak use of the cropadile... and also the FOIL & candle-curled flower ;) HERE I will have to dig through my old stash to find some transparencies!!

The Tour...

Thursday was a blur.
Awake at 4am and then on the road after 6am... it felt like I had already worked a day by the time I arrived at the office. BUT - there was Cadbury Creme Eggs simply strewn around the place - all begging to be scoffed... and I am more than happy to oblige. It seems that everyone in the office thinks they are 'for looks'?!! Not in my company...

Beckie rolled in and we played - but mostly her and Katy played whilst I tapped away on creating a really cool (and exclusive) product that Doodlebug lovers are going to go nuts for. Watch this space ;)

Beckie had driven a pick up truck... and yes, we both rolled into it and chugged (peddling fast) along behind a nice BEEEAMER (we were the snail in his rear view mirror.) The hotel shouted for some bed bouncing and some "ooooo look at the sea" before we ditched all the sales team and made our way to the Cinema (after a d-lish Indian) to just laugh and cry our way through the night. The boys ROLLED their eyes when we said we were watching 27 Dresses... and they were rightly rolled, as I *know* my Better Half would have cringed his way through this little love fest of a film. Unashamedly a chick flick... and better viewed in good company ;)

We did chat with the boys when we got back - and they got very excited when we started talking craft. WHO KNEW that men would get so giddy just with a hint of a cropadile, big bite, doodlebug pad or basicgrey precision file set... very very funny!

So Friday I let them loose on our in-house samples and they were punching holes in their belts and setting eyelets like men possessed. I feel much better letting blokes out on the road knowing they *adore* our product ;)

Speaking of the road... it looks like there is a ROADSHOW in May! ONLY for retailers... but still a pretty exciting chance to see what we have coming... and also get to treat all our retailers to lunch. Food and fab products... ;)

Okay - I have Guest DT members to announce (I am going to open it to 3 this month, as I like the idea of maybe progressing Guest DT members to full time... if they are up for it?!!) Imagine being published in a mag that gets read by over 200,000 (yep, you read it right...) 200,000 crafters!! Now there is a little reason to get submitting BEFORE MONDAY! This isn't just a wee DT... this is the real deal ;)

I love it when my inbox has delicious layouts inside... and even more *fab* is that these were submitted by a 'friend' recommending a friend. I think so many of us don't rate ourselves, which is a shame, because humility is great... but we Brits definitely don't know how to blow our trumpets.

This week the lovely (wonderful, humble, fabulicious) Beckie Dreyer is coming down to visit all the way from snowy Scotland. I love Beckie. She is talented, sincere and just a fun roomy. I fancy heading out this Thursday to go catch a totally lame chic flick (27 dresses... proud sponsors of America's Next Top Model!) Looking forward to catching up with her ;)
