What's with Woolies?

This national institution is in real *poop*... and it may be that the big red W ends up dying from our high streets.

I am trying to remember the last time I actually bought anything from one... I seem to be able to buy better quality of the same stuff from elsewhere... or buy cheaper from the local supermarket (is that a shocking admission?!!)

The way "we" buy is def nailing coffins for the retail landscape. We are all about finding what is NOT available to the masses, as well as finding it CHEAPER. Then we grumble that there isn't much choice... having just spent all our mulla in the local Tesco. Tesco isn't to blame... they don't FORCE us to buy from them - they just, kinda make it... easy, convenient, cheaper (ooh so sneaky!!)

Anyways, I am going to stock up on those really nice sour laces from Woolies... as that is what I associate with that store. Heading to the Cinema and nipping in for packs of strawberry strings and green apple laces. Sugar rush....

Woolworth disappeared from the states a long time ago...maybe 10+ years. some of them had cool soda fountains in them
