GASP... Harry Potter gets the push!

You *would* think that the next Harry Potter film (The Half Blood Prince: Trailer HERE) would be a dead cert for release at Christmas (which was the plan...) BUT shock, horror, that awful book TWILIGHT has been made into a film and knocked HP into 2009!! Outrage and aghast-ness, mouth gaping opening all around...

SO here is the question! IF the {unforgiven} cinema industry can get their act together and stagger the releases of major films, so as not to have them all compete for the top spot with one another... WHY OH WHY do we scrapbookers get overwhelmed with "wonderful all at once" ...and then nothing (until Jan/Feb 09.)

Oh Becks yes indeed why o why!! To be honest I didn't really think that much of the trailer.. it didn't really say much until the end and was really qquite slow. Can't beleive that this has knocked HP out.
Shocking!!!

Sorry Becks, I don't like Harry Potter but recently discovered Twilight and the three books that follow and devoured them eagerly, I can't wait for the film to come out, just hope it's not a disappointment after the books, which is often the case. My two daughters are HP fans though, so they won't be happy.

Oh c'mon! You know they won't make the movie as sappy as the book was. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot doing *that*. It's gonna be full of cool action-packed cinematography, and good, clean temptation with the love story. Should be alright.

Although....I have to say that when I heard about the HP bump~ I was *totally* surprised. I mean, yeah, Twilight's gonna be a hit, but Harry Potter is~ well, Harry Potter, after all.

Sad to know that they'd rather get a better score on next year's numbers for awards then to appease the public who will end up *paying* for it, meaning having to wait as well as literally pay for it. Seems like we're getting the raw deal, no matter what...

Except that Twilight will be out a month early. :D Can't wait!

I am excited about both but - actually Harry Potter moved first! They wanted a summer opening movie, so it vacated that weekend and Twilight moved up to take it. I was a little upset cause at the time I hadn't read Twilight, but I have since read it and adore it so I feel a little better now :).
