Spotted... winter new releases

Spotted: American Crafts gets hip... well for the teens at least. If you have spotty somethings - or have a panache for bam pop'esk pinks and retro prints, then this range will hit all the right notes.

Spotted: Cosmo Cricket launch their Valentines *Chemistry* line... if you like HEARTS then this is nirvana. If you think love is overrated - then pass the bucket and avert your eyes ;)

Spotted: Jenni Bowlin have line extended their fab blacks and reds... so new papers and die cuts to tempt and toy with. I love her style - very vintage chic... classy, and timeless. She is the perennial journal junkie - and I adore pretty much everything she does!!

Spotted: The new 'oh Joy!' Christmas line from Cosmo Cricket...

LOVE the name... as it kind of reminds me of how it feels when the thought of Christmas a-coming hits us mothers. OH JOY! {if said sarcastically} which is probably NOT how it was intended - is the perfect sentiment to accompany rolling eyes and a weary welcome to the festive countdown.

Themes seem to be raising their ugly {maybe that is the wrong word??} head... and the camping Cosmo is one I did not expect. I guess it isn't just Karen Foster Design that are getting more directive in their design!! Watch this space for more themes in unexpected places...

Spotted: CHA Summer sneaks

Spotted: Some wierd looking accessories from Creative Imaginations. I am thinking I can live without them all...?!! I do like their BARE ESSENTIALS (be) line - but most companies are launching chipboard albums and raw elements, that unless someone comes up with something that is on par with the ipod, it doesn't get me in a tizz.



Spotted: Cosmo Cricket get the goolies... reminds me a LOT of Daisy D's last year Halloween line. That grungey brown and purple (which we KNOW is the new pink for 2008!!!)

I am holding out for the special *something* that everyone goes WOWEEEEE over. I need something that will knock my creative socks off and create a little design flutter... not asking for much?!!!

It seems the *industry* cannot get enough of new product - so much so, most manufacturers are following suit and releasing new product mid-season... {much to the chargrin of shoppers who have barely scratched the surface of CHA Winter... and shops who are already discounting lines that are just a few months old!!} It seems that if times are tough... the answer is to throw *more* at it...

Spotted: The new spring 08 line from Canadian company 'Memento' (ever heard of them?!) Mélanie Couture, a designer from Quebec, Canada is the lass behind Mémento papers, which are printed with 100% natural and biologic ink on a quality cardstock paper. You will find discrete French words in the designs. And did you know that each sheet has on it's back a strip of text on the bottom (behind the bar code strip)? Add these cute French expressions on your layouts!
